Sorry Excuse
I want to rock (v1.0)
I want to rock(studio version)--This song was recorded during the "5 song demo" session. It was dropped from the 5 song e.p., completely re-written and eventually released on 'Rosebud' under the title "found out about you".

The new Vroom recording will most likely be released on Decapolis.com records later this year. Mid-April is the likely release date. We are undecided on a title.
We will be making video of some of our last shows available on a DVD or a VCD sometime in the near future. Input on this matter would be appreciated. The question...would you take the time to download an hour long video...or would you rather spend a few bucks for a vcd or dvd? Email us at vroom@vroomrock.com.
The Merchandise section has been updated to reflect our current invetory. Things Not To Do will soon be available.
Studio Update
Ron is almost done with his bass parts. After that, I (Tim) have to finish
recording guitar. We will probably be done in about 2 weeks. Until then...
A new song called "somebody else" has been posted at redroomrecordingstudio.com.
This song is part of an 8 song story...it won't make any sense until you hear
the rest of the songs. Also, this song isn't necessarily reflective of the other
material we are recording...so don't get mad. Instead of emailing us complaints,
feel free to complain about this on the Vroom
Message board.

Todd is back...online at least.

I know what you are thinking...to answer the question ...we've been busy. Not the kind of busy that most bands are(the pretentious kind of busy)...we've been busy screwing around and doing things that in no part contribute to the future of this band.
Ron has been preparing for his six month journey along the Appalachian Trail. Jon spent a few days at my(Tim) house working on a song for a friend's college project. The MP3 of that song will be posted when it is done.
In addition to that, Jon and I built our own guitar cabinets. That way, we can sell our rich ones and buy more synthesizers.
Speaking of synthesizers...we canceled a show last Friday because Nate had some things come up and couldn't attend either concert that weekend. So, in order to prepare for Saturday, we cancelled Friday. We figure, we would rather be decent on one show rather than stinking up the place two nights in a row.
So that Friday when we were supposed to be in Maryland, Jon, Ron and I spent the day at home programming drum loops and keyboards to accompany us at our "acoustic show" at the skool house. From this point on, whenever the word "acoustic" is used referring to Vroom, you must throw out your preconceived definition that most of the world uses. The new definition for the word acoustic, as far as Vroom is concerned, will be "a show sitting down". We have never been more plugged as we were at the Skoolhouse. Most of the regulars complained, but be warned...you had better get used to it.
In other news...we will be re-printing "things not to do" in the not so distant future. Our friend Nora found the guy who had the original artwork, and now I have it. The reason that it may be a while is because we are considering two different things. We will either combine "things not to do" and the "five song demo" on one convenient compact disc...or we will record a some new material to be added to "things not to do". We are leaning towards the first idea.
We are on a new compilation that came out this week at http://www.mereexposure.com/. Ron is on the cover of the web page too.
We are also on the new toothandnailrecords.com compilation called "I'm your biggest fan-Part 2". It will be released on October 22, 2002.
The elections are 3 weeks away. If you have time to visit our boring site, you can make time to vote.

Idobi Radio has us in the top 20. Someone should demand a recount ...because we should be higher.
...a recent conversation with Tom from idobi radio...
(01:37) idobi Radio: you guys got a new site
(01:38) idobi Radio: Not nearly as pretentious...
(8-16-02, 14:32)
Jon is in New York, Ron is in Tallahassee, Nate is in Harrisonburg, and I(Tim) am in Charleston, SC(aka heaven). Maybe we will see you around.

While playing The Sims....hold Control+Shift+C, and a text box will appear. Type "Rosebud:;" and you will get 1000 Simoleons. For every ":;" that you add behind rosebud, you get an extra 1000 Simoleons.

We are feeling cheery lately...so we made a cheery site. It's only temporary. Our tech savvy friend is helping us make a new site...it will be a few weeks. (note-vroom operates on the word 'week' being defined as 'whenever we get around to it')
If you haven't noticed, we aren't playing many shows this summer...so in the meantime, for your enjoyment, just purchase the new Flaming Lips album and let them entertain you for a bit.

Cornerstone was fun for us this year. Thanks to all who attended our show. Visit Decapolis.com for photos and articles about our show and the rest of Cornerstone. Highlights for us were Pedro the Lion, 238, and Ghoti Hook.
Ghoti Hook recently played their final show. They are a great band, and great friends. They have taught us and helped us out more than any other band ever has. They took us under their wing when we were just starting out, and supported us along the way. We will always be grateful to them. They are one of the only groups that we know that plays music for the sake of art and not just as a means to money or fame...and that is the biggest compliment that we know how to give. They will be missed.
Moving on to less depressing subjects...We will be working on new music in the next month. So far we have 5 new songs. 4 of them are available in the audio/video section of the website. We arent playing but a few shows in the next two months because we are going to attempt to record again this fall. We are not sure if the new recordings will be released as a full length CD or just as MP3's. More info on that in the fall.
(6-14-02,1:46)
We have returned home. Thanks to everyone who came to see us. Ghoti Hook treated us well. They are wonderful, we will miss them. Visit their website here---> ghotihook.com
